1. Introduction

Welcome to Shippy Ghana ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile app, website, warehouse forwarding services, notifications, payment collection for Ghana-bound shipments, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you must not use the Service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, shopping through available stores, using a Shippy warehouse address, creating a shipment in the app, or paying an invoice from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Shippy Ghana. If you use the Service on behalf of a business or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Service Description

Shippy Ghana provides services that may include:

  • Access to available stores through our app
  • Use of listed warehouse addresses for order delivery
  • Shipment creation and management inside the app
  • Warehouse receipt and package weighing updates
  • Invoice generation for shipment to Ghana
  • Onward shipping, notification, and delivery coordination in Ghana

We are not the merchant selling the goods you purchase unless expressly stated otherwise. Your purchase contract for goods remains between you and the store or seller.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of our Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • Entering correct purchase and shipment details
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Promptly notifying us of unauthorized access or misuse

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We may refuse service, suspend accounts, or remove access where reasonably necessary.

5. Payment Terms

Payment to the merchant for your purchase is separate from payment to Shippy for shipment to Ghana. After your order is received and weighed at the warehouse, we may issue an invoice showing applicable shipment charges.

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Mobile money payments
  • Bank transfers
  • Digital wallets

Unless stated otherwise, fees published by us may be shown in EUR and/or GHS. Exchange-rate based equivalents are illustrative and may change. Service charges and shipment fees may be updated from time to time.

You are responsible for paying shipment invoices when due, as well as any taxes, duties, or government charges associated with your order or importation.

6. Shipping & Delivery Policies

6.1 Package Requirements

  • You must use an available warehouse address supplied through Shippy
  • You must create a shipment in the app with enough detail for identification and processing
  • Packages must comply with our prohibited-items rules and applicable law
  • Box, weight, and handling limits apply to the service you choose

6.2 Delivery Times

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees. Once your Ghana shipment invoice is paid, delivery may typically take about 5-10 business days unless otherwise communicated. Delays may occur because of customs, airline schedules, peak-volume periods, or issues outside our control.

6.3 Failed Deliveries

If delivery in Ghana cannot be completed, we may attempt redelivery or arrange pickup according to our procedures. Storage, redelivery, or handling fees may apply.

7. Liability & Insurance

We take reasonable care when handling packages that move through our warehouse and onward-shipment process. Our liability for loss, delay, damage, or misidentification may be limited by law, carrier terms, and the information you provide to us.

We are not liable for:

  • Issues caused by inaccurate purchase or shipment details submitted by you
  • Actions or failures of the merchant or original seller
  • Consequential or indirect damages
  • Loss of profits, business opportunities, or sentimental value
  • Damage to prohibited, restricted, or perishable goods
  • Losses due to delays beyond our control

If you need extra protection for high-value goods, contact us before shipment and do not assume coverage unless it is expressly confirmed in writing.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Shippy Ghana and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not modify, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products, or services obtained from the Service without our written permission.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information connected to your account, purchases, warehouse delivery, shipment creation, invoicing, and notifications.

By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Service will be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiations
  2. Mediation if negotiations fail
  3. Binding arbitration under Ghanaian law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any legal action must be brought in the courts of Ghana.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service if you breach these Terms, provide false details, attempt to ship prohibited items, or misuse the platform.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Account closure does not cancel amounts already due or responsibilities connected to shipments already in progress.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through our Service.

Your continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.

13. Contact Information
